What does the lymphatic system do?
The lymphatic system removes excess fluid from your body’s tissues and returns it to the bloodstream.
What is a gland?
A gland is a group of cells that prepare and release a chemical for use by the body.
What are lymphocytes?
Lymphocytes are white blood cells found in the lymphatic system.
What are B-cells?
B-cells are lymphocytes that produce antibodies that attack disease-causing microorganisms.
What are T-cells?
T-cells are lymphocytes that attack microorganisms directly.
What is a vaccine?
A vaccine is a weakened or inactive version of a pathogen that stimulates the body’s production of antibodies.
What does the urinary system do?
The urinary system controls the amount of water the body retains and the levels of many substances in that water.
What brings blood into the kidneys?
The renal artery.
What takes blood away from the kidneys?
The renal vein.
What do nephrons do?
Nephrons filter the blood in the kidney.
What is the renal pelvis?
The renal pelvis is the area through which chemicals not reabsorbed into the blood leave the kidney.
What holds urine until it leaves the body?
The bladder.
Where does urine leave the body?
The urethra.

What is the hypothalamus?
The hypothalamus is one of the main regulators of the endocrine system. It controls the pituitary gland.
