Removing urea from the blood, adjusting ion levels in the blood and adjusting the water content of the blood
The kidneys need to filter out the components in the blood and reabsorb any useful components. This filtration is done by nephrons

Kidneys filter out components in the blood and reabsorb any useful components back into the capillary network.
How many nephrons are there in each kidney?
Where is aldosterone found?
Around 1 million nephrons in each kidney.
It is found in the cortex of the adrenal gland.
What are two short term effects of salt deficiency?

Disorientation and muscle cramp
Server organ damage and a stroke
How do we lose too much salt?
How can excess salt cause health problems?
When we consume too much water, sweating and vomiting and eating disorders.
