Dietitian
Works with individuals and populations to create strategies to enable clients to achieve their food and nutrition related goals through the integration, translation, and application of food, nutrition, social sciences, and management theory.
Nutritionist
Many are dietitian with the proper credentials and many have nutrition degrees from recognized universities but have not pursued registered dietitian status. Some people who have been rained in other health fields will call themselves nutritionists as well as many who have little training in nutrition. Nutritionist is NOT a protected term ad anyone can call him/herself a nutritionist. The reverse is untrue.

Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (SDA)
The provincial regulatory body for registered dietitians.
SDA Manadate
To protect the public, protect title, confer title onto individuals who meet educational standards, monitors competency of members, disciplines members if necessary.
Dietitian’s of Canada (DC)
Advocate, promote, and provide continuing education for members. Provides programs for the public.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE/CE)
Implies learning that advances from a previously established level of accomplishment to extend and amplify knowledge, sensitivity, or skill.
