Personal Image
The total impression that you make on other people. Includes your appearance, grooming, posture, personal habits, grammar, and language use.
Job Attitude vs. Professional
Some with the “job attitude” is someone who can’t wait to finish particular tasks, complains, watches clock, wants to expend minimum effort. Someone with a professional attitude wants to work to help others and has a strong work ethic.
Character
An individual’s pattern of behaviour or personality, a description for traits or qualities of a person, the person’s reputation; his or her “moral constitution”
Personal Values
Things that have a “high degree of worth” to the individual, that are “highly desirable and worthy or esteem”. They give direction to one’s behaviour and result in their reputation.
Reputation
“Character in the view of the public or community, whether favourable or not”.
Strong work ethic
Positioning ones job as the highest priority in their life and making sound decisions about how one approaches their work. Showing focus, self discipline, self-control, knowing expectations, having a positive attitude, and being reliable.
Competence
Possessing the necessary knowledge and skills to perform your job appropriately and safely on a daily basis.
Scope of Practice
Practicing what you are legally permitted to for which you have been educated and trained. Involves recognizing the need for CPE and consulting with others. It is developed by the regulatory body.
Interdependence
Working with others to get a job done well.

What is the relationship between reputation and professionalism?
They are correlated in that professionalism is a quality that effects someone’s reputation.
Can you be a part-time professional?
No. Clients must see that you are similar in your professional and personal life. Must be aware that clients are always around. May effect reputation.
