Clinical Dietitian
A specialist in therapeutic and normal nutrition. They are responsible for he assessment of the nutritional status of patients with a condition, illness, or injury that puts them at nutritional risk. Plans, implements and evaluates the results of client’s nutrition care plans, in conjunction with the client.

Nutritional Screening
A process used to identify patients or clients with nutritional problems, characteristics of, or that may lead to, malnutrition. Helps to establish patient’s need for clinical nutrition therapy.
Nutritional Assessment
A comprehensive process for evaluating nutritional status by using medical, dietary, and medication histories; anthropometric measurements; and laboratory data
Nutritional Care Plan
A plan that is developed that includes the immediate and long-term goals of therapy
Monitoring Patients
Periodic review of patient to determine beneficial and adverse effects and clinical changes.
Nutrient analysis
An evaluation of nutrient intake over time
