Initial site visit to determine extent of works required – determining key components requiring repair for high impact improvements.
Consultees Meeting
- NIE & DFI – service and lighting
- BCC and DFI – cleaning, sanitizing
- DFI and BCC – paving, making good surfacing
- Stakeholders/landowner – cleaning and repainting facades
LIGHTING – identified key impact areas

No, plans were prepared but it was confirmed the proposals were permitted development by the case officer.

CHALLENGE – loose scope
SOLUTION – site visit with client to draw out what they were envisioning and begin discussion of proposals, presentation of proposals to first entry to client and stakeholders to ensure approval of themes before progressing to other drawings. Regular discussions with client over proposals and costs.
CHALLENGE - budget
SOLUTION – prioritising – maximum effect- entrances to local businesses, lighting
CHALLENGE – stakeholder engagement – multiple stakeholders, city centre scheme, permitted development
Solution – large meeting to get cooperation –
initial meetings and regular updates, leaflets to local businesses, drop ins to local businesses, ensuring happy with artworks and coordinate with their own improvement programmes
