A

Because of higher POCT and CLIA waived tests, therefore we need more people that perofmr certain tests. Waived tests r peormfed by degreed people but parameics, medicial assistents and RN can do so

A

Collects blood speciment. Need GED and high school diploma and training after. Organizations taht certify: AMT, ASCP BOC, ASPT, NPA

What are certified Medical Assistant?

A

Trained in multiple areas: Clerical, nursing ans lab skills. Can collect blood speciment + do waived tests (i.e: hemoglobin, pregnancy tests, blood glucose meausring). Organizations taht certify: AAMA and AMT. Train in community college + vocational-technicial Schools + Priviate School. Needs a GED or hs diploma before entering. You can have lvl 1 which is diploma program w/ 1yr of post second edu; lvl 2 is 2 yrs of post seconday.
