Lenin was made to flee the country to finland. But he continued to direct the people from finland.
Lenin was able to wi support from the ocuntryside due to his ant war policy as most soldiers were peasants in uniform.

A

The all russuan congress of sovites was due to meein late oct howver bolsheviks owuld not have majority of representatives. And lenin also knew that bolsheviks were unlikley to win majority og seats in the constituent assembly.
The constituent assmebly was meant to occur in late november, so lenin knew that the revolution had to happen befre otherwise there would be too much oppositon

What were the events of the revolution?

A
On the night of 24th octoer the bolsheviks captured key buildings, such as telegraph offices and railway stations and road blocks were set up in the city bridges and aroung the orads surrounding the winter palace and took over the winter palace.
The amazon (womens party) played a great role in the storming
Kerensky escaped petrograd the next morning and tried to raise troops. Howver troops guarding the PG surrendered and the PG gave in and were arrested
6 soldiers were killed

Bolsheviks got the most seats, 390 out of 650 the mensheviks and the SR condemned the bolshevik action and left the congress giving the bolsheviks more strength.

A

He was a menshevik exile during the February Revolution
In july he became official bolshevik member
He was leader if the PS when bolsheviks gained control
In oct he became a member fo tge three man military revolutionary commitee (MRC) of the Soviet
The MRC controlled 20,000 red guards 60,000 baltic sailors and 150,000 soldiers of the petrograd garrison
Trotsky was the brains behind the revolution as he made the plans for the seizure of the key buildings of the PG and the overthrow of the provisional government,

A

Lenin persuaded the bolsheviks to oppose the war unlike the mensheviks an SRs
He gave the bolsheviks simple slogans that the ordinary could understand
His decsioj to oppose war helped him gain popularity
He created the red guard

Without lenin the Bolsheviks would never had made this move on the PG
