Q

Third Hidden Barrier

A

I can’t expand to my highest potential because I’d be even more of a burden than I am now

——
You have a positive event, then immediately believe you are a burden, and other people start to pick up on that belief

Q

Money arguments

A

Never have anything to do with money. They have to do with something deeper

For that one billionaire it was the belief that “when there’s money involved there has to be an argument”

Q

I feel like my worrying all comes to one root cause

A

worry that there won’t be enough. Enough money. If I cancel this date weekend with {person} I won’t have enough dating opportunities in the future.; me getting angry at lotion disapearing -> me getting angry at rj/brian because i’m guessing one of them moved it -> me worrying that my skin won’t be soft enough and my skin won’t be enough for sophie or that my skin won’t be wet enough for sleeping well

Q

Benefits of No Complaining about Time Diet

A

You end up getting more done while feeling less stressed

You grow steadily less busy while getting more done

It like the difference between using your elbows vs hands for driving. When you realize you are the source of both time and time pressure a weight is lifted off you.

I think with every action there is a an element of pain associated (caused by saying thoughts like “it will use X time and therefore X energy!)” but if you stop complaining about time there is no pain associated with that action, and therefore the action takes less energy and you don’t get as tired doing it.

I think a corollary to this is don’t check the time. Just gives you more time pressure and helps you think you don’t control time.
