A way to define culture [not actually from book]

the set of (usually unstated) expectations, thoughts, and behaviors a group of people operates by. IMO could be described as a list of if/when-statements (e.g. “when a person who quit a group activity rejoins the group the boys send memes with subtext like ‘The King has returned boiiis!’ /welcoming invitations such as ‘Let's go out drinking tonight to celebrate’” vs “when a person who quits a group activity rejoins the group, no one celebrates or says anything . . the person /their action essentially goes unnoticed or unrecognized” vs “when a person quits a group activity rejoins the group, people remain semi-hostile to them, as expressed for example by {I actually can’t think of how to formulate an example}”
