The responsibility to the Aztecs were that they had constantly keep on making the gods happy. Sacrifices, rituals and every day normal things, they sacrificed themselves. The reason why human sacrifice was important was the Aztecs believed that human blood was prized above anything else. They also believed that without human sacrifice the earth would dry up and the sun and he planets wouldn’t be able to travel across the sky. As well as if there was no human sacrifice everything would end.
