Contains the skin and it’s appendages eg. (skin,hair,nails)
The Musculoskeletal System
Contains bones of the skeleton, joints, cartilage and muscles
The Circulatory System (Cardiovascular)
Divided into two systems
(Cardiovascular)
Contains the blood, heart, blood vessels
(Lymphatic)
Lymph, Lymph nodes, lymph ducts, lymphatic tissue, lymphatic vessels. Also spleen, tonsils , thymus gland
Respitory System
Contains upper and lower tract.
(upper)
Nose, nasal cavities, pharynx, upper trachea
(Lower)
lower trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli and lungs
Digestive System
The gastrointestinal system (GI system)
contains pharynx, larynx, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, rectum, anus
Also teeth, tongue, salivary glands, liver, gallbladder
The Urinary System
Contains Kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra
The reproductive System (Male)
Testes also known as the male gonads which includes the scrotum, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicle, ejaculatory duct, prostate gland
The reproductive System ( female)
ovaries also known as the female gonads. includes fallopian tubes, uterus, endometrium, vagina, hymen, vulva, mons pubis, labia majora and minor, clitoris, mammary glans
The endocrine System
Contains glands that secrete hormones
pituitary gland is divided in the anterior and posterior lobes
hypothalamus, pineal gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, thymus gland, pancreas, gonads
The Nervous System
Contains CNS (central nervous system) and the PNS ( Peripheral nervous system)
CNS - Brain, spinal cord
PNS - Nervous of the brain / spinal cord

The immune system
Contains white blood cells (WBC) antibodies, antigens, lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes
