What should you do if a caution light illuminates and then extinguishes/flickers repeatedly?
Proceed with the applicable procedures associated with that system malfunction
This is a warning
ENG OUT
Ng at or below 55±3%
Accompanied by a beeping aural tone
ENG FIRE
Excessive heat in the engine compartment
BATTERY HOT
Battery case temperature is 60 ± 3°C or higher
BATTERY TEMP
Battery case temperature is 54 ± 3°C or higher
ROTOR LOW RPM
Nr less than 90±3%
ENG CHIP/CLEAR CHIP
Metal particles on engine chip detector
TRANS CHIP/CLEAR CHIP
Metal particles on transmission chip detector or free wheeling unit
TRANS OIL PRESS
Transmission oil pressure at or below 30±2 psi
TRANS OIL TEMP
Transmission oil temperature above 110°C
T/R CHIP
Metal particles on tail rotor gearbox chip detector
TRQ
- Flashing once per sec: within transient range
- Flashing twice per sec: limit has been exceeded
TOT
- Flases once per sec: within transient range
- Flashes twice per sec: limit has been exceeded
A/F FUEL FILTER
Fuel pressure has dropped below limits due to filter contamination
FUEL LOW
Less than 20gal of fuel remaining
FUEL PUMP
Boost pump pressure has fallen below 3.5psi
HYDRAULIC PRESSURE
Hydraulic pressure at or below 300psi
BATTERY RLY
Only TH-57C
- When the BAT switch - ON: continued illumination indicates a fault in battery relay or protective circuits
Illumination during startup is normal
FCS
Only TH-57C
Failure of the FCS fault protective circuits
MAIN GEN or GEN FAILURE
Main generator has failed
STBY BATT ON
Only TH-57C
The main battery is turned off or the main battery is depleted with the STBY ATT IND switch on
