What is the goal of ergonomics?
- to eliminate a serious and disabling work-related musculoskeletal disorder (MSD).
What are the risk factors for MSDs?
- Force
- Repeating action
- Awkward postures
- Heavy lifting
What are the signs and symptoms of back injuries?
- Pain when trying to assume a normal posture
- Decreased mobility
- Pain when standing or rising from a seated position

- Promote comfort and well-being

What are the guidelines to safely position a person?
- Use good body mechanics.

- Place the signal light within reach after positioning.
