Q

!!!!!What is the definition of ultimate truth for Svatantrika?

A

Svatantrika and Prasangika have the same definition for the 2 truth. But it differs in how they are interpretated.

Definition of ultimate truth: an object (emptiness of flower) which is cognized by the direct valid cognition cognizing it by way of dissolving the appearance of duality.
Explanation:
cognized by non dual wisdom of emptiness ==» the only mind which can do that is the direct valid cognition of emptiness (it sees the object by resolving the subject object duality)
Therefore the object of the direct valid cognition, which understands emptiness must be the ultimate truth.

Q

!!!!!What is the definition of conventional truth for Svatantrika?

A

Definition of conventional truth:
Object which is seen by cognizing subject and object dually

The duality is purely created by the mind. it does not come from the object.

For example:
A book in a hand is seen by the direct valid cognition, with a dualistic appearance. = conventional truth.

A book in a hand is seen by the direct valid cognition with a non dualistic appearance is the ultimate truth.
