T-62-49C14 “dash 14”, controlled by a single FADEC.
What is the normal steady state running speed of the APU?
100%
What is the overspeed limit of the APU? when will the FADEC shut off the APU?
1) Overspeed limit is 108%
2) FADEC will shut off APU at 104%
When will the APU shut down on the ground?
For just about any issue
When will the APU shut down in the air?
To what point is the APU considered a “starter”
50% rotation
At what point is the APU considered a Generator?
95% rotation + 7 seconds
How is APU fuel shutoff accomplished and at what location does the fuel shut off for each?
1) APU fire extinguisher button - Wing Root
2) APU master control knob - Wing Root
3) APU fuel shutoff valve - Wing Root
4) APU stop button - At the APU.
When is the APU available for electrical power?
95% rotation
When is the APU available for Pneumatic Power?
Immediatly, but we wait 3 mins operationally to let it warm up
When should the APU be shut down?
Immediatly after the load has been removed
When should you put the APU in ground safe mode? How is this accomplished
When leaving the A/C unattended for 30 mins or less. This is accomplished by?
1) Turning Batteries off
2) Turning Emergency Lights off
3) Turning APU bleed off
4) Turning APU Generator ON
