An articulating bone or point that tendons attach muscles to on a moveable bone.
Insertion
Movement of a bone around the longitudinal axis without medial or lateral displacement.

Synarthrosis -immovable
Combination of flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction.
Circumduction
Medial turning in of the sole in of the foot.
Inversion
Lateral turning of the foot
Eversion
Movement of the ankle joint in a backward direction (standing on your heels)
Dorsiflexion
Movement of the ankle joint where the foot is flexed downward (standing on your toes)
Plantar flexion
