What are MEES?

A

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards

Brought in to improve the standard of buildings. Minimum EPC rating of E, could increase to a B by 2030. Exemptions for listed buildings/if no works can increase the EPC etc.

Enforced by local authorities. Sanctions are fines.
