How to transport amputated part of traumatic amputation (e.g. thumb)
A
The amputated part should be transported by
- wrapping it in saline-moistened gauze
- sealing it in a plastic bag
- placing the bag in a bath of ice water (to prolong the window for replantation)

CT Abdomen & Pelvis (CTAP)
- Splenic injury = one of the most common intraabdominal complications of BAT and should be suspected in any pt w/ BAT & e/o hemorrhage (L shoulder pain being likely referred from blood irritating the phrenic nerve)
