Mechanism of Action
glipizide (Glucotrol & Glucotrol XL)

glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase, Micronase)

A

Stimulate the pancreatic Beta-cells to release insulin. Enhances the cellular sensitivity to the insulin (makes the insulin work better)
