What is SAPS?
A
Pain localized to the acromion
Related to structures in the subacromial space which is the space between the acromion and the humeral head, such as tendons of rotator cuff and bursa

A
A small sac of fluid which reduces friction between surfaces of a bone and soft tissue.

A
Pain 70-120 degrees during painful arc

Subjective signs
A
Insidious onset
Lying on affected side

Treatment
A
Rotator cuff strengthening to help stabilize the joint e.g. external rotation, internal rotation and abduction
Isometric stretches to increase range of motion
