A
  • With longitudinal framing, a series of closely spaced longitudinals are used in addition to deep web transverses.
  • With transverse framing, transverse deck beams are used at every frame space.

A
  • Beams are fitted across the width of the vessel and are joined to the side frames by brackets know as “beam knees”
  • Longitudinal girders which run alongside the hatchways are fitted on the vessel.
