Q

How do you prokaryotic cells differ from eukaryotic cells?

A
  • Prokaryotic cells cytoplasm contains no membrane, bound, organelles, e.g. mitochondria
  • prokaryotic cell has no nucleus (free floating DNA)
  • prokaryotic DNA is circular (linear in eukaryotic)
  • prokaryotic cell wall contains murein (cellulose in eukaryotic)
  • prokaryotic cells have smaller 70S ribosomes. (80S in eukaryotic)
