Disadvantages of stress management techniques
Techniques which are cognitive will only work if the performer can truly gain control over their mind to develop a positive mindset. Some techniques are not practical to use during performance, e.g. hard to measure physiological responses (e.g. heart rate) during performance.
Mental rehearsal can only be achieved if the performer understands what the correct performance should look and feel like
