Documents that set you the aims or approaches to be used within organisation policies and are based on sections or parts of the code of practice. A policy applies to a particular care setting or group of care settings. It tells a care worker how to approach specific tasks. These policies influence and affect procedures carried out in a care setting.
Clear and effective codes of practices
Based on principles of care and supported by relevant ;legislations. They apply to everyone in the social care sector. They describe the standards of conduct expected by all social care workers.
Training
Training provides knowledge and skills for a job. Training insures the care worker knows how to d their job correctly and safetly
Advice and support within the work place
A work place should have mentors and other care workers that can offer advice and support to the care worker. It should not be detrimental for the care worker to seek advice and help to go on to benefit themselves and the care they give.
Appraisal
The process where care workers can identify their strengths and weaknesses for future development. It’s a way of monitoring care provided by making sure they do their jobs properly
