Use of an advocate
This is where someone is appointed to represent the views of the individuals
Use of support groups
Groups of individuals who have similar problems and experiences. They are voluntary and offer advice through their own personal experiences. e.g. Cancer support groups
Use of an interpreter
An individual that will interpret into the first language of the other individual
Anger management
When people react aggressively whilst under pressure . Anger management helps individuals express their feeling while still being respectful to others
Assertiveness Training
When people let others speak and making choices for them and take on a submissive role. They’re trained to express their views.
Facilitating Access
Access to services can be made easier for those impaired by making ramps, lifts, automatic doors, public transport and financial support.
