Explain Policing by Consent
‘Policing by consent’ refers to the idea that Police power is exercised with the implicit consent of the public.
It does not mean the consent of an individual. No individual can choose to withdraw their consent from the Police, or from a law.

Explain the Crime Triangle
The Crime Triangle reflects the idea that for a crime or incident to occur, an offender and a victim must come together in a specific location without an effective deterrent.
What is problem orientated policing?
Utilising a range of applied practical tools, POP aims to understand the factors leading to crime & harm in a specific situation, in order to initiate an appropriate response.
The focus is on rapid crime reduction, combined with an understanding of how to prevent future harm.
