What is a H&S near miss?
An unplanned or unexpected event that occurs as a result of Police work activities & under slightly different circumstances could have resulted in harm to a person, but did not in this instance.
Who should report a near miss?
The person involved
Through MyPolice
If the person is unable to report it, their supervisor should do it on their behalf
Define types of Harm
Harm can be physical or mental

Explain the difference between threats & hazards
Threats - human
hazards - non-human (ie geological fault, river etc)
- Threats are usually expressed as intent x capability
