- Cardiovascular- Increases Blood Pressure
- Central nervous system
- stimulation- sleeplessness, restless
- decreased appetite
- counteract depressant agents
- psychosocial
- euphoria, increased self confidence, decreased fatigue
NOTE:
used only for 6 weeks for it to work and lay off for 4 weeks without it and get back again for 6 weeks. NEVER continuous.

- Withdrawal
- fatigue, depression, suicidal, paranoi
- Most schedule 2 and some schedule 3 if a person gets addicted
- Toxicities
- arrhythmias
- seizures
- coma

- Weight loss (6 weeks)
- Narcolepsy (long term)
- Enuresis (bed wetting)

- tolerance can develop
- psychological and physical dependence

- Psychological and educational
- hyperkinetic treatment medications (stimulants)
- The stimulant causes a part of the brain to focus and concentrate
- contraindicated in epilepsy and hypertension
- side effects- anorexia, dizziness, dependence
- methylphenidate (schedule 2)
