-what is the BSI and what is their logo?
-The Bsi is the British standard institution, who makes standards and rules which products in the UK have to follow in order for them to be sold in the UK
-The logo for this is the kite mark
-what is iso?
-International organisation for standards, ISO has worldwide standards which member countries can test for. This allows companies to extend markets and trade in other countries.
In order to trade in other countries, they must meet iso standards
-what is CE, and the logo?
See is the conform of European the letters CE will appear on electronic equipment, which has been tested and deemed as safe by their own manufacturer
-The CE mark is the logo
-what is UKCA?
-uk.CA shows that a product meets UK standards for safety and therefore gets the UKCA mark
-What is the ROHS directive?
-this refers to restrictions for the use of specific hazardous materials found in electronic and electrical equipment.
-What is the WEEE directive?
-waste from electrical and electronic equipment. This is mandatory European directive which helps to reduce the electrical waste produced from certain components
-what are polymer codes and the point in these?
-polymer codes and the Mobis loop, help to separate materials effectively in order to prevent recyclable , materials end up in landfill
What is the forest stewardship council and their logo?
-Forest stewardship council shows that timber has been collected from ethically sourced wood and well managed forest.
-The logo for this is a tree with a tick

What is Eco labelling?
Eco labelling is a wide range of voluntary, environmental certificates, this is not a standard or legislation. It is given to products and services who meet high environmental standards.
-What are packaging directives?
Packaging directives aim to limit packaging waste and prompts recycling. All packed must be marked with the specific material, it is made from.
