A

-Patient makes the “Okay” sign with their fingers and hand/wrist are placed on the image receptor with palmar side down w/medial aspect of the hand, wrist and fingertips touching the image receptor.
-1st and second digits are spread apart slightly
-Hand should be at a 45 degree ankle to the image receptor

A

The patient is seated with affected hand placed medial side down with the wrist joints in neutral position. Wrist and hand are angled at 90 degrees to the image receptor.
-First digit is flexed to 90 degrees and the remaining fingers are spread apart, with the second digit being the furthest anterior and the fifth digit being the furthest posterior.
