It is an Italian rosé produced near the shores of Lake Garda which means, “little light one”

Produced in the Bardolino DOC from mainly Corvina in Veneto

Produced also in the Valtänesi DOC from mainly from Groppello in Lombardia

What is Col Fondo an what will be listed on the label if this wine is produced?

A

Col Fondo is the original Prosecco production method wherein the wine’s secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle and the wine is not disgorged leaving the lees in the bottle upon release.

It literally translates to “with the bottom” referring to the lees on the bottom.

The term “rifermentazione in bottiglia” must be present on the bottle.

What is Torcolato?

A

Passito wine specialty of Breganze DOC made from 100% Vespaiolo grape clusters that have been tied on long strands and hung from rafters, dehydrating and encouraging botrytis along the way.

The drying process lasts for up to 5 months prior to fermentation and the wines are not released following fermentation until December 31 of the year following harvest.

Traditional appellation wine produced as a dry still white, oxidized wine on the island of Zakynthos in the Ionian Islands of Greece.

Rueda Dorado is an oxidized/rancio Vino de Licor produced in the Rueda DO in Castilla y Léon.

Produced from either Palomino or Verdejo Grapes

It is aged for a min 4 years of which two are in wood and has an min abv of 15%. Aging traditionally occurred in Solera
