Q

What are the disadvantages of using fossil fuels?

A

Gases such as Carbon Dioxide and Sulphur dioxide are released which are pollutants, adding to the greenhouse effect and leading to the increase in global warming, when fossil fuels are burnt.

  • Can cause breathing problems
  • Sulphur dioxide causes acid rain- corrodes buildings made out of limestone, disables the ability of animals to live in large bodies of water.
  • Gases can cause breathing problems
  • Finite resources
