What is the minimum acceleration height following an EFATO?
400’ AGL
How many TOGA events per engine per sortie?
12
Initial T/O and an AEO GA (to divert) are accounted for and don’t need to be subtracted from the allowed ‘events’.
Different kind of TOGA ‘events’
One event - T&G, AEO GA, stall (clean), UP recovery, SEFATO
Two events - Stall (configured), low level abort
Three events - Sim asym GA
Reasons for low speed abort
Reasons for high speed abort
Low speed - 70kts, any abnormality.
High speed - 70kts-V1 - CAS message, fire, loss of thrust, loss of directional control, any situations either pilot considers merits an abort
Standard climb
Performance climb
SID/MID turns
Standard - 180kts to FL200. 200kts to FL300 then M.55
Performance - 200kts to FL300, then M.55
SID/MID turns - Max speed for turning CAT B is 165kts.
When should WSHLD 1 & 2 be ‘ON’
Above FL150 or whenever fogging exists
Standard descent profile
200kts, TLs at idle
At what height above touchdown should stabilised be called?
200’
An aircraft is stabilised when?
On runway centreline
Desired approach path
Appropriate trim in three axes
Established in briefed landing configuration
VREF - VREF + 20 with stable thrust setting
Once stabilised, what are the final checks
PF checks and states
Clearance
Alt Sel set - Missed approach alt, SALT or climb out restriction
Checks complete
Final turn speed
Min - VREF (F3) + 15 until wings level at 400’ point.
This is to be bugged as VAP for reference
Tyre speed limits
139kts (may be close when flapless or high elevation)
Touch & Go LDA criteria
Dry 4500’ +
Wet 5200’+
(TOGA must be selected by 3000’ to go)
