Q

During level changes when should altimeters be checked

A

Above 10,000’ - Every 5,000’
Below 10,000’ - Every 1,000’. SALT should be acknowledged

17
Q

Weather RADAR procedures

Departure and arrival
En-route

A

Departure and arrival - 30-50nm range, +5 deg tilt

En-route - Altitude / 1000. E.g. 14,000/1000 =14Nm. Adjust tilt to get ground returns at this range.

18
Q

TCAS - When to select TA only?

A

Stalling exercises
Lead a/c in form
Visual circuit (after T&G TCAS will revert to TA/RA. PM should reselect TA in after T/O Cx.)
