Solo requirements (6) 2 for xc

A
  • 16 with a class 2 or DL9
  • competent in English
  • clear all PPL papers for XC
  • authorised by instructor and only by A or B cat for first solo
  • if a C-Cat is authorising solo, student pilot must have received dual instruction in last 5 hours unless otherwise authorised by an A or B cat. Must have piloting experience last 30 days.
  • solo xc authorised by a or b cat.

A
  • 17 and a class 2 medical or dl9 under class 2 or above with a passenger endorsement
  • 50 hours, 40 for no xc
  • 15 hours dual (5hr advanced dual instruction)
  • 15hr solo
  • 5hr dual IT
  • 5hr low fly, 2 hours terrain awareness
  • 5hr night flying 2 dual 2 solo (if wanting night)
  • xc, 8 total 4 hour dual (2 advanced) 4 hour solo (2advanced)
  • completed all PPL papers

PPL privileges and limitations

A
  • Act as PIC for type rated aircraft and carry pax
  • act as co pilot for type rated aircraft
  • cannot be paid, cannot operate aircraft for hire or reward
  • cannot fly night, xc or helicopter sling load unless rated.
  • can act as PIC but not for hire or reward on AC being operated for glider towing even if AC is under operator operating for hire or reward.

CPL requirements (7)

A
  • 18 with class 1
  • 200 hours or 150hr tt with approved training course
  • 100 hr PIC 30 is xc, 20 hr training and including flight test.
  • night flying 10 hr of which 4 hours dual 5 hr PIC, last hour is either or. And 10 take offs and landings. If not met cannot do night flying
  • IT 10 hr, 5 IFT, 5 in sim
  • in addition to ppl 5 hr low fly 2hr Terrain awareness. 5hr more dual, 2 low fly where 2 hr is basic mountain training.
  • all CPL papers complete
