A

the WPA, 1935 aimed to provide valuble work within comunities of which the wages would stimulate the economy when spent (prime the pump)
socially this was effective as 8.5 million people worked for the WPA at some point in the 30’s

by 1943 the WPA had spent 11 billion dollars building hospitals, schools, rural road, airports and parks. (obviously benefiting society)

although the acts introduced had SOME drawbacks they were ultimatly a great benefit to society. The Tennassee valley authority for example developed housing etc along the tenessee river which raised standard of living, provided housing and education
