- can be influenced by others but take responsibility of it own actions
Early adulthood
- may live with parents but still independent
- makes own decisions about personal care and career
- make decisions about marriage and starting a family
Middle adulthood
- becomes increasingly independent
- increase freedom with life changes
Later adulthood
- continues to make own decisions
- may have financial constraints if relying on state pension
- changes in mental and physical capacity may decrease his changes to make his own decisions and take care for self

- taking part in sport
- studying
- respecting others
- eating healthy foods
- learning new skills
