Stages of play
0-2 years ( solo play): looks at adults closely, puts things into mouth band touches things with hands. Plays alone may be a water that other infants are present but do not attend to play with them
2-3 years ( parallel play): play next to one kid but are involved in their own play. Children are aware of the children they may copy each other but they do not interact
3 years and over ( co-operative play): children at this stage they share, talk and play together. Children share ideas and resources in the same activity . They interact and agree roles to develop their play towards a shared goal
Friendships and relationships
Formal relationships: develop between no related individuals such as colleague, or teacher and pupil. Positive formal relationships increase self esteem and self imagine
Intimate relationships: may begin in adolescence and continue, and new ones form throughout life. Resulting in greater contentment, emotion security and positive self imagine
Informal relationships: built between individuals and family or significant other. Strong informal relationships promote contentment and confidence to deal with life events
