What is Cardiovascular Fitness?
The ability to excercise the body for long periods of time.
What is Muscular Strength?
The amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistence.
What is Muscular Endurance?
The ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired.
What is Flexibility?
Flexibility is the range of motion of your joints.
What is Body Composition?
The percentage of body weight that is muscle, fat or bone.
How will Cardiovascular Fitness affect our performance?
We will be able to perform at our top level for longer periods of time, good in sports like running and football.
In order of relevance, what are the most important health related component of fitness for a Short Distance Runner?
Muscular Srength - How powerful and explosive you can drive forward.
Flexibility - Off the blocks and driving knees/ stride length.
Body Composition - How muscle to increase power.
Cardiovascular Fitness - Not long distance.
Muscular Endurance - only around 10s of muscle use.
