What is the definition of PAR-Q
A self screening tool that can be used by anyone who is planning to start exercising or a training routine.
What does the acronym SMART stand for?
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound
Why do we set SMART goals?
Smart goals are set as MOTIVATE for an athlete to reach their full potential and they will help aid success.
Measurable
Means it will be easy to know when goals are achieved.
Achievable
Goals must be attainable, unachievable goals is likely to result in demotivation.
Realistic
A goal may well be achievable in practice, but are there other reasons that may hinder the completion of that goal.
Time-bound
Does the goal have an end point? If not, it is easy to put off achieving indefinitely. The PEP you will undertake will be over 6 weeks.
Examples of a SMART Goal
I want to up my strike on strike percentage in 3 months. It is 16.6%
