What is Cardiovascular Fitness?
The ability to exercise your whole body for long periods of time.
What sports require cardiovascular fitness?
- Long distance running (1500m, Marathon etc.)
- Football (90 minute match)
- Basketball
- Tennis
What is MS (Muscular Strength)?
The amount of force a muscle can exert against a reference.
Sports that require muscular strength.
Rugby (Scrums and Rucks)
Weightlifting (Cleaning and Jerking)
Muscular Endurance
The ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired.
Flexibility
(The) Range of motion in your joints.
• Gymnastics
Why is it important to be flexible?
It is important because you are less likely to get injured and it will be enable you to do skills. E.g leaning down to hit the ball over the net. (Tennis)
Body composition
The percentage of body weight that is muscle, fat or bone.
