What is the definition of the Tendon?
Tendons are non-elastic fibres that attach muscle to bone and help to move them. Tendons let you apply power and movement. Tendons also grow in strength the more you use them.
What is the definition of the Ligaments?
Are elastic fibres that join one bone to another, usually to hold things together and keep them stable. They keep your skeleton supported whilst allowing movement.
What is the definition of the joint?
Where two or more bone meet/Important for movement and rotation. All joints allow movements, although the extent of the and freedom of the movement varies from join to joint.
What are the 4 types of joints?
Pivot Joint (Neck)
Hinge Joint (Elbow)
Ball and Socket Joint (Hipbone)
Condyloid Joint (Wrist)
What is the definition of Flexion/Joints that provide it/Examples in sport
Bending movement that decreases the angle between body parts.
Shoulder,Hip,Elbow
