-Continous -Fartlek -Circuit -Interval -Plyometric -weight
What to take into consideration when training?
-The requirements of the particular sport
-The facilities in the local area
-The individual current levels of fitness

The need for fitness and the need for skill are balanced differently in different sports and this needs to be reflected in athletes training

What is the definition of continous training?
Working your body for long periods without rest
What is the definition of fartlek training?
A method of training for runners where the terrain and speed changes
What is the definition of circuit training?
A series completed for a certain amount of time/reps after one another
What is the definition of interval training?
Physical training involving alternating stages of high and low intensity
What is the definition of plyometrics?
Exercises where muscles use maximum force in short periods of time
What is the definition of weight training?
Involving shifting weight to increase the strength of the muscle using a programme
What is the use of an areobics class?
Mainly aerobic exercise to music, covering a variety of exercie
What is the use of a body pump class?
Exercise to music with low weights but with many repetitions
What is the use of a pilates class?
Core stability focusing on the quality and not quantities
What is the use of a yoga class?
An ancient form of exercises that focuses on poses and posture
What is the use of a spinning class?
Areobic cycling on a stationary bike to music
