The ability to exercise your whole body for long periods of time
Muscular strength
The amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistance.
Muscular endurance
The ability to use a voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired
Flexibility
The range of motion on your joints
Body composition
The percentage of fat, muscle or bone
What sport needs cardiovascular fitness?
Football…..
What sport needs muscular strength?
Rugny, scrum. Weightlifting, deadlifting.
What sport needs muscular endurance?
Running a marathon…..
What sport needs flexibility?
Gymnastics…..
What sport needs a low or high body composition?
To be a runner, you needs a low body composition. To be a weughtlifter you need a high body composition
Agility
The ability to chnage position with control at speed
Balance
Being able to keep the body stanle while at rest or on the move
Co ordination
Ability to use two or more body parts together
Reaction time
The time between the stimulus and a movement in response
Power
Ability to undertake strength strength performance. Power = strength x speed
