What do you do if Derailed in SLW?
Make a TEC call and act under Controlling Signallers instructions
What do you do if Obstructed in SLW?
Act under instructions of Rail Safety Manager
What do you do if you have NO COMMS in SLW?
Stay in train
Don’t have to protect your train, they will come and find you (only 1 train in section)
In SLW What do you do if you are Driver of Disabled train?
Contact TC
Make PA
Secure Train
Fault Find. (when can’t fix problem)
Fill out DRA
Dictate to TC
Protect train - 500m or first fixed signal
Take DRA, Red hand signal, radio
Contact TC when ready
In SLW do you need a TA?
If Pilot is on board disabled train - yes
(Pilot is redundant and TA needs to be issued)
If Pilot is not on board disabled train - no
(Pilot enters with written instructions )
When rescuing In SLW if the Pilot is not on board disabled train what authority do you need to enter SLW?
Pilot boards train with written instructions
If the Pilot is on board rescue train, what is authority to pass home signal governing entrance to SLW?
Verbal instruction from signaller and train authority
In SLW what speed do you do when assisting a disabled train?
For both direction:
Reduced speed to 2km mark
