What is a Drivers Relief Authority?
DRA - filled out by driver of disabled train, dictated to TC, once submitted disabled train can only be moved by relief driver
What is the procedure when train is disabled / can’t move?
Check if derailed
Contact TC
Make PA
Obtain Track Access (if req.)
Secure Train
Conduct fault finding
… if can’t fix …
Return to train
Fill out DRA
Dictate to TC
If you are Driver of Disabled Train what do you do after you have dictated DRA?
Take DRA, red hand signal, and mobile DTRS to rear or advance (whichever advised)
Go 500m or next fixed signal from train
Contact TC and let them know you’re ready
What are the 5 Cs that both drivers go through when they arrive back at disabled train?

In ABS relief from the rear and stopped at Home signal, what do you need before you can proceed?

How then do you pass home?
If the disabled train is in the section in advance and there is no low speed aspect.
Exception becomes Track Circuited no LS or CO so you require verbal from Controlling Signaller and/or green hand signal from CE
