Rubella
- Viral
- Red or pink rash starts behing the ears and on face and spreads
- Mild fever, headache, sore throat, enlarged lymph nodes
According to the NICE guidelines and BNF, what should be the maximum duration of treatment with a potent corticosteroid?

squamous cell carcinoma
- Mouth ulcer for 3 weeks
- no pain
- 1cm in diameter
Isotretinoin Rx
- Isotretinoin under ppp should be considered expired 7 days after date on rx
- Pregnancy test must be done as part of ppp
- If pt is not under ppp a supply of more than 30 days can be made
- Under ppp max 30 days of treatment can be made
Basal cell carcinoma
- Skin cancer
- Shiny, pearly or translucent bumps with small blood vessels
- Occurs with UV, sunburn, tanning beds, esp on white ppls
Angular chelitis
- Red sore fissures at the corners of mouth
Amorphous ulcers
- Minor: 1cm in size, can occur singlely or up to 5 ulcers at a time
- Major: greater than 1cm in size and up to 10 at a time
Perioral dermatitis
- Similar to acne
- Red bumps on lower half of face
Are painless lesions a red flag
Yes could be leukoplakia
Diabetics with fungal infection
could indicate hyperglycaemia

- Abx e.g. tetracycline + penicillin
