Other symptoms

A

Papular rash

May also affect scalp in kids and flexor aspect of wrist in adults

Burrow marks in skin folds and finger webs - fine zig zag grey line with speck (mite) at one end

Very itchy and may be worse at night

Scabies:

Med - 1st and 2nd line

What about the itch

Who else needs to be treated?

A

Permethrin 5% twice, 1 week apart
Malathion

May last 5-6 wks after treatment

What is it?

S+S

M - 3

A

Irritant effect of urine on skin which can then be complicated by candida infection

Erythematous groin including flexures
Satellite pustules

Emollients
Topical fluconazole/clothrimazole
May be need for topical steroids

Rx

A

Generalised form of bullous impetigo

Fever
Diffuse erythema
papery wrinkling of the epidermis
Progresses to blistering in groin and axilla

Children under 5
Nurseries

Flucloxacillin IV
