Inhaled foreign body

Bronchiectasis shadowing
Hyperinflation, cardiomegaly
Requires inspiratory and expiratory film. Hyperlucent object and collapse distal to it

How pathogens can be detected? - 2
A
Nasal swabs - picks up viruses e.g. RSV
Nasopharyngeal aspirate - more accurate but invasive
