Lesions begin on abdomen 50% of time → widespread clustered blisters, sparing face can occur
What is the management of pemphigoid gestationis in pregnancy?
- Relive pruritis and stop new blister formation
- Potent topical steroids
- Oral prednisolone
What is Polymorphic Eruption of Pregnancy?
Self-limiting pruritic inflammatory disorder
When does polymorphic eruption of pregnancy occur?
3rd trimester or immediately Post-partum
What are the signs and symptoms of polymorphic eruption of pregnancy?
- Begins on lower abdomen, involving pregnancy striae - can extend to thigh, buttocks, legs, arms, sparing umbilicus and rarely involves face, hands, feet
- In 70% of cases, lesions become confluent and widespread, resemble erythroderma

Symptomatic relief

- Preterm delivery
- SGA
- Recurrence

- No effect on mother or baby

- LFTs to rule out OC
- Presents with pruritis

- Early 3rd trimester of pregnancy
- Resolves after delivery

Present as excoriated papules on extensor limbs, abdomen, shoulder
